Neth

Neth was 14-years-old when her mother sold her for $300 to a brothel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Once there, her virginity was sold for another $300. Beaten into submission and forced to service up to 20 men a day, Neth soon contracted HIV.

Through Transitions Global, her days are now filled with hope, not despair. She has improved her English and learned office skills. Interested in computer work, she recently finished Microsoft ICDL training and was looking forward to a job teaching computers.

But now Neth, 19, wants to use her own experiences to help other girls who have suffered as she has. She wanted to have a voice. So now she speaks on behalf of trafficking survivors everywhere, sharing her experiences and bringing awareness, and hope, to others.

Her courage in overcoming so much hardship is inspiring and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next.
