Transitions Global’s core program is the Transitional Living Center (TLC), which serves 20 Cambodian and Vietnamese girls each year with comprehensive aftercare services. This program is highly sought out by rescue organizations and human rights groups.

In addition to our full-time shelter program, we offer our girls a ‘next step’ in their reintegration – the S.T.A.R. House, with capacity for eight girls. This transitional house gives the girls a chance to practice their newly developed life skills and learn to live independently under limited supervision. For girls who are ready for independence early, or for girls who have a viable family option, we provide long-term reintegration support and re-entry services.

During 2009, Transitions Global will begin establishing the first of four Transitional Living Centers (TLC) in Mumbai, India to serve the needs of Indian, Bangladeshi, and Nepalese girls that have been sexually trafficked. We will be implementing our innovative approach to providing aftercare, focusing on reintegration of survivors back into society.

This project is being undertaken in collaboration with Crossroads in Cincinnati. This exciting project will begin in November, with the first TLC scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2010.

In the United States, there are an estimated 300,000 American children who are being sexually trafficked. Transitions Global sees a serious need for specialized services for surviors - as a result, we are helping to raise awareness and educate the American public.

In the future, Transitions Global would like to open a domestic trafficking shelter to serve the needs of sexually exploited teens in the United States.
